Maps and Travel

Friargate sits in an unrivalled location at the very heart of the UK. The train station, at the centre of the development, has high speed direct links to Birmingham and London, as well as other fantastic locations.

Birmingham Airport is a mere 10 minute train journey away, offering a huge range of international destinations, which now include the west coast of the USA and the Far East. There will also be a connection to the new HS2 Interchange Station when it is completed in 2026, located adjacent to Birmingham Airport.

Access to the M6, M42 and M69 is also convenient, linking Coventry to the rest of the country through the national motorway network.

By road, rail and air there are few developments, of any size, that can boast connectivity on the same scale as Friargate.

Getting around the City

Working closely with the Friargate development, Coventry City Council has constructed a bridge deck spanning Junction 6 of the ring road, connecting the railway station and city centre with a continuous above-ground pedestrian route for the first time.

The six minute from the station to the city is a green and pleasant stroll, with ready access to bars, shops and restaurants. Improvements to traffic flows and public spaces are creating attractive places for pedestrians to dwell.
